Book Fair 2013

At the Book Fair, there were tons of novelties to get like erasers, pens, toys, stuffed animals, and so much more. One thing that was a really popular novelty item was the pencil bag that looked like a face of a monster and the zipper was the mouth. That was really cute. The Book Fair also had very cute and super long stuffed animals. They also had skateboard, iphone erasers as well. Over all they had tons of novelties but the toys most popular at the Book Fair was those pen poppers. There pens with a puffy ball or sports ball on top and the pen has a button that makes the popper fling at kids. Those where most of the novelties at the Book Fair.

The Book Fair wasn’t just for the younger grades. There were many junior high books as well. Wonder by R. J. Palacio is about ten-year old August Pullman who has a facial deformity and his journey to fit in at his new school. There was an extremely popular book in the teen section which was called The 5 Wave. I am not so sure what it is about but many of the junior high students said that it was really great. That specific book was a really big hit for the book fair. I’m sure a lot of you have seen the movie, Ender’s Game. There are always differences between a movie made out of a book, so it’s sure to be good! W.A.R.P. The Reluctant Assassin by Eoin Colfer is a book filled with humor, time travel, and FBI agents. These are just a few of the many great books at the Book Fair!

There are also many great books and short stories for the younger kids. I am pretty sure that there was a book about the ugly duckling that was a picture book for really young readers. There was a huge variety for everyone to enjoy. There were certain section for each age and each grade. There were also a few sections that were just for book in general such as books that have gotten a recent award, hardcover books, even books that have been newly released. Each of these sections had there own table. The table had books for the really young readers and some for the older readers. Every grade from kinder to eight had a chance to go check out the books.
