North Korea Missile Launch
North Korea Fires Test Missile Over Japan
North Korea’s Dictator Kim Jong Un has sent a record breaking 13 test ballistic missiles designed to carry a nuclear payload in this year alone. His latest test occurred on August 29, 2017 which flew directly over Japan. Japan and the U.S. are not taking this threat softly as President Trump said, “‘The world has recieved North Korea’s latest message loud and clear: this regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior,’Said Trump in a written statement released by the White House (Kim Jong Un called launch ‘meaningful prelude’ to containing Guam, North Korea says).” As president Trump said, the U.S. and their allies are prepared to do anything that is needed to protect any surrounding countries and any countries in danger of this attack. With the fear that within the next 6 months North Korea will have the ability to launch a missile to the U.S., America and their allies are on high alert. Japan, Guam, and South Korea are 3 countries that are in very serious danger to an attack. Because of the short distance between North and South Korea, North Korea can get a missile to South Korea in less than 10 minutes. The U.S. does have the ability to shoot down any attack or send a bomb into North Korea which could end the regime of Kim Jong Un, but could result in a lot of collateral damage.
