Getting to Know Mrs. Webster

Mrs. Webster

Mrs. Webster teaches 4th grade here at St. Philip. I was in her class, and she was one of my favorite teachers. Our interview is below.

FF: How long have you been teaching?

Mrs. Webster: 20 years.

FF: How long have you been teaching at St. Philip?

Mrs. Webster: 14 years.

FF: What do you enjoy most about teaching?

Mrs. Webster: Helping struggling kids. The moment when they finally get it, when they understand a difficult concept, is really special. [I love] just hanging out with [my students], having fun.

FF: Which subject do you enjoy teaching the most?

Mrs. Webster: Social Studies.

FF: Why?

Mrs. Webster: [Seeing] all the projects, what the kids can do.

FF: So, what are your hobbies outside of school?

Mrs. Webster: Listening to music, reading, and watching movies.

FF: What’s your favorite movie?

Mrs. Webster: I like a lot of different movies, but probably “Sleepless in Seattle.”

FF: Your favorite book?

Mrs. Webster: I don’t really have a favorite book.

FF: And your favorite genre of music/song?

Mrs. Webster: I have varied music tastes, and I listen to lots of different types of music–even from the ‘60s and ‘70s–just whatever sounds good.

FF: What are your plans over Christmas Break?

Mrs. Webster: I’m going to visit my parents in Palm Desert.

FF: Merry Christmas!
