Mrs. Almquist: Teacher of the Month

Mrs. Almquist is the new transitional kindergarten teacher. It is her first year teaching at St. Philip. She attended San Gabriel Mission High School. Later she attended Woodbury University. She received her bachelors in science and graphic design. Mrs. Almquist worked in graphic design for a Spanish newspaper called La Opinion. Later Mrs. Almquist went to the University of Phoenix to get a teaching credential to teach multiple subjects. Mrs. Almquist has two children. Her oldest child is 10 years old and has special needs. She is an advocate for Autism Awareness. She also has a 3-year-old daughter who will be attending St. Philip in 2020. Mrs. Almquist loves teaching at St. Philip. She says that she loves how the TKers love to learn and are always excited. She says in TK that the kids and her sing, dance, and paint. She loves spending time with the kids. Mrs. Almquist’s favorite thing to do outside of school is to spend time with her family. We sure do love having Mrs. Almquist part of our falcon family!
