Annual Book Exchange
RRR
It’s come around again! The Annual Book Exchange hosted by the RRR Comittee is going to be from January 13-15 (Monday to Wednesday) this week, and all the students are excited to take part in the event. However, for some, this may be the first time they have participated in the Book Exchange. Though it might seem like a complicated process, it’s really quite simple. First, the student should bring a book that is age appropriate for them (Think: If you wouldn’t want to read the book right now, don’t bring it!). Then, they drop off the book with the Committee, whether this is at the drop off line from 7:45-8:15, or when the Committee comes to look for any stray books left in a child’s backpack. Remember, when dropping off a book, don’t forget to fill out a slip stating your name, grade, and the title of the book. These slips can be found at the bottom of the fliers for the Book Exchange, or they can simply be a piece of paper with all of this information. Dropping off a book will enable you to pick another book out, but you will only be able to get a book if you have given a book. It should also be noted that if you bring more than one book, you only get one book back. The books left over from the Book Exchange will go to children in need, so if you can, it would be lovely to bring a book for the children who can’t afford them.
After all the books have been dropped off, the classes will visit the Book Exchange either on Thursday or Friday, so those who dropped off books may pick another book to keep. This event is a wonderful way for us, students, to share our love of books and knowledge with each other. It is a super fun way to participate in a school activity, and you even get a new book to keep! I encourage everyone to participate, as it is a really great event, and everyone who gives something also get to receive.
