The Yankees then scored a few more runs in the following inning. The Dodgers were leading 4-0, and then Giancarlo Stanton hit a home run in the third inning. The Dodgers were losing 5-0. In the fourth inning, a player from the Dodgers ran home and brought the score to 1-5. Then the Dodgers loaded the bases, and Freddie Freeman brought 2 players home with a hit into deep left field.
In the fifth inning, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman got on base before Teoscar Hernandez brought them and himself home with an inside-the-park home run. The score was now 5-5. After that, Galvin Lux got a big hit and brought a player home. The score was 6-6. The bases were loaded again before Mookie Betts hit a deep hit to central field. Now the Dodgers were winning 7-6. The Dodgers held a tight defense in the ninth inning, leading them to winning.
