In America’s most popular sport, there are many statistics and records to keep in your head. These can be passing yards, receptions, sacks, QBR, and various owners of records like Jerry Rice for receiving yards, and my favorite, the Browns and Lions holding the records for most losses in a season. However, this concept called the “Scorigami” has been gaining popularity, especially on social media. It is a simple concept, it is any NFL final score that has not been scored in any game before. It was made by a sportswriter named John Bois, and it is documented on a website called nflscorigami.com if you are interested.
While it seems impossible for any plausible score to still be left unscored in the 106th NFL season, there are still some not to crazy ones, like 36-23, or 32-22. But these are still very hard to come by, considering football scores are generally multiples of 7 plus 3 or 6 points. These are numbers like 20, 28, 31, 35, 17 etc. In order to score 36 points you likely need either 5 touchdowns with two point conversion or 4 touchdowns, 2 field goals and a safety, and a team will probably only score a safety in one or two of their games all year.
If you want to make your Sundays more interesting, track Scorigami. There even a scorigami in Week 10 between the Ravens and the Bills, 41-40, just a short month ago. It is something anyone can find interesting not just an avid football fan
