Everyone has a unique personality with different interests and the school can’t make all kinds of clubs for every single person. But now, there is a new way to share what you love with others. There is now the option to start your club. It might seem daunting and impossible, but how does someone really start your own club? To answer our question and more, we interviewed the first two people to start a club, Alexa Ho and Mia Garcia!
CK: What inspired you to start a club?
MG: Alexa and I had this love for animals and we were thinking about how much we loved animals and thought, why not create a club about it?
AH: We both wanted to do an animal club individually in our own schools and when we came together, it just happened
CK: What was it like to start your own club?
MG: It was exciting but nervous because we had different ideas and we had to meet in the middle.
AH: It was really fun! I have always wanted to be able to make a club and I loved animal
CK: What was the hardest part of creating a club?
MG: Getting people to join was hard and the reality hit us that we might not have anyone show up
AH: Finding a teacher to supervise, staying organized, and getting over prejudices of furries.
CK: What is the process of making a club?
MG: First is getting the idea approved by Mrs. Ramirez, then you have to make a paper saying everything about your club, then advertising and then actually starting the club.
