Dollar Dress Day for St. Vincent de Paul
A few weeks ago, St. Philip had dollar dress day for St. Vincent de Paul. Our school raised an immense $637 to give to this charity foundation. St. Vincent de Paul is a volunteer organization that helps the needy get what they need. They help the homeless, help kids stay in school, and have thrift stores all over LA county. The money that is spent at these stores goes directly to helping the homeless or other people in need. The foundation also provides a summer camp for the disadvantaged children in LA county. The $637 that the school raised during dollar dress day will go directly towards helping those that are less fortunate than we are. There are homeless and less fortunate people all around us, and many of them would like to be helped by a great organization like St. Paul.
