6th Grade’s First Country of the Trimester
Recently the 6th grade class had their first country of the trimester project. For those that don’t know, the project is to help students to learn about the culture, economics, and general facts about Spanish speaking countries. This project is for Spanish class taught by Sra. Cross. There is a packet that will be the main source of information that students learn, then there is a project at the end. Some popular options for the project are going to a restaurant or cooking an authentic dish, or a poster or presentation. This trimester’s country is Spain. A popular project among the 6th graders was cooking and the tortilla espanola or spanish omelet were popular dishes says Jason Alietti who made one himself. Another 6th grader, Jessie Morales says that she thought “it was fun and hard but mostly fun”. This is the first of the three projects that will take place this year. Overall it sounds as though the sixth graders had a fun and successful first project.
