Pikachus walking on Japan’s Streets?!
In Yokohama Japan, they have a special holiday where a character from Pokemon ( a game) walks all over the streets. The character’s name is Pikachu. Pikachu is a bright yellow mouse that has powers. This holiday started when the Pokemon movie came out in 2014 and over 2 million fans crowded the streets with their Pikachu costumes. Since a lot of people came to this one time event, the people in Yokohama decided to make it an annual holiday. The celebration didn’t only last for a day, but it lasted for a week! This event is the largest gaming event in the world! The tradition is spreading in Illinois, Denmark, Prague, Sweden, and the Netherlands, and other places.If you like Pokemon or adventures then you should go visit Yokohama Japan on August 9th.
