Video Games and Movies 2024

Video+Games+and+Movies+2024

For movie fans and gamers, 2024 is off to a great start!

Popular games have made their debut, and several movies have performed very well at the box office.

Thus far, the top three highest-grossing films in 2024, in reverse order, have been Bob Marley: One Love ($169,142,862), Kung Fu Panda 4 ($179,201,285), and Dune 2 ($506,528,001), which has made nearly three times more money than the current film in second place.

Dune 2 has broken many records and made around $100 million more than the all-time record of the first Dune film in the series.

This movie has certainly been a smashing success, but many more films are coming out that might give it a run for its money.

Three anticipated movies, which are currently showing or coming out in 2024, include: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (currently showing), Deadpool & Wolverine (to be released July 26th), and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (premieres on May 10th).

Movies are not the only form of entertainment grabbing the attention and headlines.

Video games are more popular than ever!

One of the most popular that came out at the beginning of 2024 is Palworld.

This video game was created by a small group of 10 employees with little experience and has made $442 million thus far.

One game released in late 2023 was Lethal Company.

This multi-player horror-adventure video game sold 10 million copies and has made nearly $175 million.

These two games made a lot of money, but two others may very well prove to be successful as well.

Little Nightmares lll is the third in a series and is scheduled for release in late 2024.

Ark 2 is expected to draw widespread interest from gamers.

The first Ark was released in early June 2015, and now the sequel is set to be released in the fall or winter of this year.

It is definitely going to be a tremendous year for movies and gaming!
