Falcons Win Track Meet

Stuart Serventi, Agnese Sagnavio, and Arielle Guzman lead way for Falcon.

The Falcons were the meet leaders in points from their Novice (grades 3 and 4) and Junior Varsity (grades 5 and 6), and had 677.5 points to the 487.5 scored by the nearest opponent, Chaminade. Several were running their first long-distance event, and there was the high jump event at the meet, an event not usually held at Falcons track. Several runners won multiple individual events: Stuart Serventi, Agnese Sagnavio (who tied for first in the girls JV 800), and Arielle Guzman, who all won the 800 and 1600 meter races. The Falcons swept the podium with the top three runners in several Novice and JV races.

Henry Gunn won the boys Novice 50 meter race. Jacob Koch, Will Dakan, and Timothy Parisi swept the podium in the boys Novice 400 meter race, a feat equaled by Dakan, Ben Rowe, and Mark Valenzuela in the boys Novice 800 meter race. The boys Novice relay team won the 4×100 relay.

Natalie Miera, Anwen Wise, and Hannah Sherman swept the podium for the girls novice 800 meter race. Wise won the girls novice 200 meter race.

Stuart Serventi, Nicholas Casasante, and Quinten Pithey took the top three spots in the 800. Serventi also set a meet record in the 1600, and Anthony Miera and Joseph Blain also placed.

Maggie Kiechler, Agnese Sanavio, and Alyssa Bruna swept the girls JV 800 meter race, and the trio swept their 1600 race in the order Sagnavio, Bruna, and Kiechlar.
