James Patterson is a great author of many adult books, and proves with this that he is also apt in the children’s genre. SantaKid is told from little Chrissie’s perspective, Santa’s daughter. She explains how Santa is just like any regular dad, and how she loves the North Pole. One year, Vernon Ransom, head of EXMAS EXPRESS, burst into Santa’s office and claimed he was going to buy Christmas. At first, Santa just laughed and told the man he couldn’t do it, but he was proven wrong. Soon the business showed up with big black vans and took over the North Pole. All of the normal toys were replaced with toys like “Wally Warmunga”. Chrissie couldn’t stand by and let this happen, so she decided to save Christmas herself! By the power of believing, she was able to pilot Santa’s sleigh and deliver all of the presents, restoring balance to the North Pole. Seeing the errors of his way, Mr. Ransom leaves and everything becomes normal once more.
