Every 4 years there is a presidential election held to decide who our next president will be. During these past 2 months, there have been three primary debates so far. There have been two debates held by the Republican party because there are more candidates than the Democratic party.

In the first Republican debate, people believed that Donald Trump performed the best because he had strong arguments. All around the world there are people who believe that Donald Trump is gaining popularity because of his entertainment value, while others believe that he should definitely be our next president.

The second Republican debate was shown to be a big improvement for Carly Fiorina, who is the only woman candidate for the party. Since the second primary debate, she has been gaining popularity and votes in the polls and has been showing that she won’t back down without a fight.

After these 2 debates, it was the Democrat’s turn. Their debate consisted of only 5 candidates. This debate showcased Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders as frontrunners based on the polls held previously. The Democratic debate was considered to be the make it or break it moment for the two front runners because they had to show the people who would be a better president.

This year there have been three debates, but there will be many more to come before we vote for the president at the end of 2016. These next debates will show the steps the candidates will take in order to win the presidential election.
