The Golden Globes
The Golden Globes is an annual award show, presented by the HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association), that acknowledges the best of film and television from the previous year! It’s been held in the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California, for decades. Since its founding in 1944, it has had many diverse categories for awards added on throughout the years and has also been presented by many different channels throughout the years.
History
The HFPA, an international group of journalists from LA, was founded in 1943. Later, they established the Golden Globes in 1944 and had their first ever ceremony on January 20th. Their first event was at the 20th Century Fox Studios, their second was in the Beverly Hilton for the first time, and their third ceremony was held in the Hollywood Knickerbocker Club. In the following years, it was held in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, the Ambassador Hotel, and many more.
This Year’s Golden Globes
This year’s Golden Globes was held in the Beverly Hilton again. It aired on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 5-8pm P.T. It was hosted by Nikki Glaser.
