Technology Corner: Xbox One and PS4 Cross Platform Play
Hello people of the Earth that are currently reading this. Today at technology corner we are going to talk about videogames, specifically the Xbox One and the PS4, but first…
Star Wars with Robert:
Xbox one is starting to become backward compatible with older games. They should also make some of the classics from the first Xbox. The first game they should do is Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, or KOTOR, because Star Wars = Life.
Ok. Roan here:
Sorry about that. Star Wars obviously isn’t actually life, but Jar Jar Binks is life ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
Let’s bring this back on topic:
You might have a PS4, while your other friend has an Xbox One. This is a problem. Some people have both consoles, but not everyone can afford both consoles, so we don’t understand why Microsoft (the creators of the Xbox) and Sony (the creators of the Playstation) don’t just work together to make one ultimate console. Obviously there is no hope for Nintendo, because I think they are better off on their own with their Wii’s and 3DS’s. I would love to see Pokemon on a nextgen console though.
Back to the point:
The main reason we are writing this article is to talk about something that Microsoft was talking about in an interview called Cross Platform Play. Cross Platform Play is where people on PS4 with Playstation Network could play with people who use an Xbox One with Xbox Live. Microsoft said that they are going to open up Xbox to cross platform play, and currently PC has agreed to this. Meaning some games in which Xbox users can play with PC users. We still have to wait for Sony to answer this call for partnership. Robert and Roan both have this issue where Robert has an Xbox One and Roan has a PS4. This makes us have no way to play with each other. Cross Platform Play would have a huge impact for the gaming community adding new and more experiences. Thanks for reading, and…
May the Force Be With You
P.S. If we get at least ten comments saying something about Jar Jar Binks we will write an article about Jar Jar Binks.
Editor’s Message: While we appreciate Star Wars fandom we cannot possible have only Star Wars articles in Technology Corner, Pop Culture and Entertainment sections. We also aren’t convinced an article should be written about Jar Jar. Think of the mayhem it could cause!
