Falcon Invitational
On April 9, 2016, the St. Philip Track and Field team ran at LaSalle High School against other Catholic schools around Pasadena. The meet was going very smoothly until, in the middle of the meet, it started pouring and all the runners had to run their heats in the rain. Even though it was raining, the meet still went on and the Falcons had a strong showing. At the meet, there were 4 new records set and one by 8th grader Anthony Stone in the varsity 800m with a time of 2:09.89. The team results of the meet had St Philip in 1st Place beating out their competitors overall. Each division from St. Philip placed:
- Novice Girls: 1st Place
- Novice Boys: 1st Place
- “B” Girls: 1st Place
- “B” Boys: 1st Place
- Varsity Girls: 2nd Place
- Varsity Boys: 1st Place
Even though it started to rain, the weather wasn’t an issue for the Falcons as they took home 1st place.
