Reader’s Corner: Grades 3-5

For this week’s Reader’s Corner, Falcon’s Flyer has two classic and humorous books. The first book is Something’s Fishy in the Katie Kazoo Switcheroo Series.

Basically the Katie Kazoo Switcheroo Series is about a redheaded 10 year old girl who has the power to shapeshift! But Katie can’t control her powers and switches anytime, anywhere. This series is about her adventures with her shapeshifting abilities in the everyday classroom.

In Something’s Fishy, Katie visits the local aquarium in her class, but her shapeshifting powers suddenly turn her into a fish! She discovers something special while in the aquarium – read the book to find out the rest! Something’s Fishy is a good book with chapters but also pictures, so it’s enjoyable to read.

The Second book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw. This book is the 3rd in the series and in this wacky book, you get to rejoin Greg Heffley, a middle school boy, and his journey doing sports and getting active. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is hilarious! This book is really recommended for 3-5 graders, or anybody really, who needs a good laugh and a good book to read.

Both of these books are in the Library. You can ask Ms. Malissa and Ms. Natalie for help in finding these two great books. Keep on reading, Falcons!
