This week’s peacebuilder is Jessie Morales from the 6th grade. Jessie has received a principal referral for dedicating her time to be a kindergarten escort in the morning! For those who don’t know, the kindergarten escorts are 6th grade volunteers who wait in the carline for kindergarteners who are being dropped off. Then the escorts walk the kindergarteners inside to their classrooms

Jessie really enjoys escorting kindergarteners because they are adorable! She also added that she likes walking in kids because they might not know where they are going and she wants to guide the little kids into their classes. Additionally, she says that she feels happy and also grown up, “like a mother,” when she walks in the kids. Jessie promises she would always do good things to help the school whenever she has a chance.
