On October 31 there was one of the biggest terror attacks since 9/11. A man named Saiful Khabibullaev decided to get a truck and run into pedestrians. He decided to do a truck attack because he felt that it would cause the most damage. The suspect was using a rental truck from Home depot to do the attack in lower Manhattan. This attack killed 8 people and 12 were injured. The suspect after the incident was shot by a police officer but not killed. Some of the people that were killed were from Argentina on a trip celebrating the 30th anniversary of a school in their hometown. This attack is known to be associated with ISIS. When the suspect was in the hospital he had ISIS flags put up in his hospital room. This was a terrible tragedy and many are mourning for the lives that were lost.
