Major League Baseball Opening Day was on March 29th, every team had a game on this day. The Boston Red Sox lost their Opening Day game but followed that loss with 9 straight wins and winning 13 out of 14 games.  They now have the best record in baseball at 15-2 and are in first place in the American League East. The Angles have started their season very well and currently have the second best record in baseball at 13-4. These two teams have games scheduled against one another on April 17th, 18th, and 19th. The Astros, Yankees, and Indians, three of the projected top teams in the American League, are not off to great starts.  The Astros are 10-6 second place 3 games behind the Angles in their division, the Yankees are 8-7 in third place 5 games back of the Red Sox, the Indians are 8-6 in second place and 1 game back of the Twins in the division. In the National League the three division leaders are the Mets 12-3, the Pirates 11-5, and the Diamondbacks 11-4. The Cubs, Dodgers, and Nationals are the projected top three in the National League and they have started very poorly. The Cubs have started very bad going 7-7 and are in third place in the division, The Nationals are 8-9 and are in fourth place in their division, and the Dodgers have one of the worst records in all of the Major Leagues and have a record of 5-9. So early in the season there have been a lot of surprise teams doing well which will provide an interesting season.
