Seatbelts on Schoolbuses

Seatbelts on Schoolbuses

Recently, there has been a disagreement about seatbelts on school buses. Right now school buses do not have seatbelts causing danger for students. They are getting hurt because there are no seatbelts to protect them from an accidents.

There have been many incidents involving students getting hurt, so parents of these children are getting angry and want something to be done about this troubling concern. There is a settlement that has been approved for school buses to install seatbelts for the safety of children going to or coming from school and while on field trips. The problem with the installment of seatbelts, is that they will cost a lot of money just to install them. The installment of seatbelts will cost a lot of money but there will be a reduced amount of injuries, which is preferred by both parents and students.

There have been simulator tests involving school buses and test dummies with and without seatbelts being done. The results of these tests have shown that kids with seatbelts, during an accident are safer because they will not move and be thrown out of their seat in comparison to the kids without the belts. There has been something done to improve the safety in the lives of children, but is installing seatbelts enough or should there be more action put towards safety for children around California and the U.S.
