Star Wars Droids

Droids in the Star Wars universe have always been a key role in the movies, but have you ever wondered how they would work in real life?  Have you ever wondered “whoah fam that is cool I want in real life xDDD”? At Technology Corner, we have too, so we have done some research if any of the Star Wars droids come close in relation to any droids/robots in real life. When you WATCHED the Star Wars movies, it seemed like the droids were actually there, right? That is because they were. A New Hope was the first Star Wars movie to be made. When filming they had an actor in the C-3PO suit and in R2-D2. They have done this in all of the movies and now, BB-8 is the next droid. BB-8 was actually on set and is a real droid. In the force awakens BB-8 was actually filmed and there, and he was being controlled by puppeteers. The technology for BB-8 is real, but the technology for C-3PO is much farther away. We say this because he is programmed with more than 6  million languages, humanoid, and programmed to have a little emotion. Still, there are some robots and droids in real life that could be seen in the Star Wars universe. NASA has developed a robot called the Robonaut 2, which has a human shape for undergoing human maintenance. Also, Sphero has created a real life mini BB-8 droid that you can control from your iphone. We think that humans may not be able to compete with star wars droids, but can come pretty close to making a blue, dome shaped helper like R2-D2. So may the force be with you and Jar Jar Binks is a sith lord.
