Ted Cruz and John Kasich are Joining Forces

Since February the presidential race has been dominated by Donald Trump.  He has been dominating so much that all but two candidates (besides him) have dropped out.  These candidates are John Kasich and Ted Cruz.

Cruz and Kasich have been at a disadvantage because of Trump for too long – they have even started to coordinate their campaigning efforts and team up for a goal of stopping Donald Trump. Part of the deal includes creating one-on-one races against Trump. To ensure that their efforts are executed to the fullest, they’ve dropped out states such as Indiana, New Mexico, and Oregon.

John Kasich and Ted Cruz have teamed up in hope to have a brokered convention.  These two candidates just want to take down the dominating republican candidate, Donald Trump.  They think that if they both can create smear campaigns against Trump to ultimately win the Indiana election.  While their goal right now is to win Indiana their long term goal is to have a brokered convention.

Even with this agreement to team up, Kasich has made it very clear that he stills wants to win. He’s stated that he does want people to vote for him and that the deal does not mean that Indiana supporters should vote for Cruz. Regardless of all the kinks and flaws that the candidates must iron out in their deal, Kasich has said that his presidential journey is still pleasurable – “I’m having the time of my life!” (CNN).
