Billboard Music Awards
On March 22nd, the Billboard music awards were held in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. The night was hosted by Ciara and Ludacris and was filled with many great performances and award winners. There were many astonishing moments throughout the ceremony. There was a tribute to Prince, performed by Madonna and Stevie Wonder, which brought the crowd to their feet. The Billboard Icon Award was the most emotional award of the night, because of Celine Dion’s tribute to her late husband Rene Angelil before accepting her award from her son. Another honorary award was presented to Britney Spears as the Billboard Millennium award winner. Some of the big winners were The Weekend and Adele with The Weekend winning eight awards and Adele receiving five awards such as “Top Artist”. One of the most anticipated moments of the show was the worldwide release of Adele’s new music video of “Send My Love.” The night was filled with excitement and anticipation and appeared to be a successful night.
