The science fair is a monumental event that happens once a year. All the students get a choice to work alone or with a partner to create a project that will impress the judges. The sixth and seventh graders have started working hard on their science fair projects, and will continue to for the next 4 months. Each student or partner picks a different topic to do an experiment on or research studies about that topic. At first, the science fair can be stressful, but overall, it is very fun to do. Every student or partner has to make a board that will show all of their data, and they have to create a speech to express their point to the judges. The science fair helps students express their creativity while reassuring them of studying a topic that they could pursue in the future. All the students try their hardest the whole time. The science fair was first introduced recently in late January and will be held in May. The science fair is not just a research project, it is a creative way to express different topics. These projects can sometimes help children to get a better understanding of the world and how things work. Lastly, the science fair is a great experience for students. Everyone gets a chance to participate and show off their creativity and presentation. We cannot wait to see everyone’s topics and ideas at this year’s science fair!
