Christian Service Day!
Every year, our school does something special. One day in the year, all the grades help out people in different ways. We call this christian service day. Now you may be wondering what Christian service day is, well it is a day where everyone helps out. Today in our world there are many people less fortunate than us that might need a little help. What the students at SPAS do is they come together to help these people out. Not all the grades help out people in the same way, but the main idea of everyone is that everyone is helping someone in need. We help not because we are forced, but because as Christians it is our duty to help out people who are not as lucky as us. The more we help, the less people there are in need. Now I keep using the word help in various ways. SPAS helps people in many different ways like mentioned before, here are the ways that SPAS students helped out this year (2025):
Kindergarten: Teamed up with 5th graders to fill snack bags and decorate them for the Ronald McDonald house!
1st Grade: Wrote meals on wheels cards!
2nd Grade: Collected a lot of the candies from Halloween, and bad goody bags for the children in Mexico who don’t have candy!
3rd Grade: Collected baby items and gifts for new mothers and their babies and wrapped them, which then was delivered to the Pregnancy Center for new mothers!
4th Grade: Made snack bags and decorated them for the Ronald McDonald house!
5th Grade: Teamed up with kindergarten to fill snack bags and decorate them for the Ronald McDonald house!
6th Grade: Decorate bags then place donated foods to make a pasta dinner. They bought non-perishable items to make a pasta dinner, and then they decorated bags and made cards for the people receiving the items!
7th Grade:
- Some of the seventh graders went to Arroyo foothills! There they helped out prepare for the winter by moving rocks, sweeping leaves, and doing a lot of manual labor!
- The other part of the seventh graders went to The Ronald McDonald House! There they helped clean and sanitize equipment and furniture at the house, so that when people come, it will be clean and safe!Â
8th Grade (Out graduating class of 2025-2026) :
The eighth graders went to the LA Food bank!
In the food bank, they help package food and transport them to an area, where they will be taken and given out!
Thank you to everyone for helping out and showing kindness to everyone!!!

Thank you for writing about Christian Service Day. You did a good job going over all of the projects.
