From hanging with friends, to dancing, to photo booths, the junior high socials can be a lot of fun! It gives the attenders of the event the chance to meet new people from different schools. It is one of the major events in junior high that almost everyone goes to. However, not many know what to expect until the day it takes place. If you are one of those people, don’t worry! Let’s start at the beginning of the day. The recommended clothing is something casual, warm, and comfy that can be worn for long periods of time. Make sure to follow the dress code! Also, be sure to get there at the time listed in the permission slip.
In most of the socials, you are dropped off by your parents. It is important to bring your permission slip, student ID, and money for admission. Once you are done checking in, you are free to join your fellow classmates and have fun. At the socials, there is usually a dance pit and a DJ area. The main activity is hanging out with friends from school, but it is important to try and meet new people from different schools as well. You never know who you may meet!
After all of the dancing and talking, you may start to get hungry. No worries! Most of the socials have places to get food, just remember to bring money. Some of the food items may be pricey.
Once the social is over and everyone is feeling pretty tired, your parents will return to pick you up. You must exit with a parent or guardian. You also may not leave on your own. Your parents must be ready to pick students up at the designated time.
