Lewis and Clark Board Games

The 8th grade class has just recently performed a project unlike many other ordinary school projects. Mr. Weyermuller, the social studies teacher, asked the students to conduct a game board that demonstrates the expedition of Lewis and Clark. Each class was separated into groups and together they each came up with a unique way to teach their peers about the expedition of Lewis and Clark. Some of the students became very creative with their game boards and were able to include many historical facts about their journey. When the students finished their game, they were able to rotate around the class and play the other different games that their fellow peers had made as well. Not only did they get the chance to play the game, but they were able to rate the game based off of many factors. The project taught the students not only about the journey that Lewis and Clark endured, but the thought and effort it takes to put into making a game. The students seemed to enjoy playing the games and were able to show their creative talents through their board games.
