All Saints Day

Just one day after Halloween, the school had another holiday, this one to honor the Saints. Every year on All Saints Day the first graders dress up as a Saint of their choosing. Every first grader makes the costume with their family, then wears it to school on this holiday. The school celebrates mass every All Saints Day, and the first graders wear their costumes. They parade in from the back of the church while singing the song, “When the Saints Go Marching In”. Then at the end of mass, the Priest processes out of the church, and the first graders go up on the altar. Again, they sing the song, “When the Saints Go Marching In”, but this time all the parents are taking pictures. The first graders have been practicing for a long time to prepare for their saint mass, and all the first graders had lots of fun.
