5th Graders Prepare for Jr. High

When I was in 6th grade, I was really scared of having to get used to the new adjustments, such as eating later, more homework, and being closer to the 7th and 8th graders. I went down to the 5th grade classes to see what their opinion on entering junior high was. Here is what some of the kids thought:

Nicole Isip (5B): “I think it will be harder because the homework will be a lot, but I think the teachers will be easy and nice.”

Nicholas Almada (5B): “I think junior high will be hard because of our new schedule. I think the teachers will be hard and give us a lot of homework.”

Marcus Powe (5A): “I’m pretty nervous for being in junior high because of the new schedule. But I am excited about having more P.E., and that I’ll be able to hang with my brother more often.”

Dominic Domenghini (5B): “Junior is high is going to be fun. But I think it will also be tougher because we’ll get more homework and the teachers will be very strict.”

Vanessa Covarrubias (5A): “Junior high is going to be really fun because of all the nice teachers. But I’m not looking forward to a lot of homework.”

Gene Smith (5A): “I’m pretty scared and nervous about having a lot more homework.”

Cassidy Scanlan (5B): “Junior high will be fun and easy because of the good teachers.”

Cameron Kuritani (5B): “ I think junior high will be fun, but I think the teachers will push us more and give us more homework.

Claire Altovar (5A): “Junior high is going to be scary, but fun. I’m excited for the socials, and I think the teachers will be very nice.

Aaron Koch (5A): “I think junior high will be interesting, fun, and the teachers will be good.

After interviewing the kids in 5th grade, I realized that most of them aren’t as scared as I was two years ago. After I getting these results, I realized that most kids today aren’t as scared as most kids, which is good. These kids that are becoming braver and braver everyday means that they will succeed much easier in school if they believe they can.
